CRITICAL FEEDBACK IS THE PATH TO GREATNESS.

imagine this:
you walk into a business - a new business, open maybe a year or less. and you have an experience that’s a mixed bag. you go on yelp, and you review said business candidly. you praise the good, you point out the less-then-good. the business owner responds with a NASTY yelp reply. then they go on twitter and fb and say ‘we will NEVER change our standards! we’re awesome and the people who like us already agree, so FUCK YOU detractors!’
will you ever go back?
you walk into a business just down the street, another new business, and have a similar experience. you head dutifully to yelp, and write them up - and you get a personal email from the owner thanking you for your feedback, assuring you they’re going to look into the negatives immediately and make corrections, and offering you something on the house if you go back.
will you go back? if, when you go back, you have a better experience, will you then be a loyal customer?
which of these 2 businesses do you think have a greater chance of being open a year from now?
